The birthplace of Becki Newton was New Haven, Connecticut, Becki Newton was raised in Guilford, Connecticut. Becki Newton is of English descendance. NBC picked up the series in the month of May, 2010; however, due to Newton's announcement about her pregnancy Jordana Spiro's contract requiring her to be on the show with My Boys, which was pulled later on, as well as Chupack wanting to leave Love Bites, the premiere was pushed back to midseason.
